Description
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (MGM, 1958). Fine+ on Linen. Six Sheet (81" X 81") Reynold Brown Artwork."Southern Belle" doesn't equal shrinking violet, as Elizabeth Taylor proves in her role "Maggie the Cat" in this superb adaptation of Tennessee Williams' play. Taylor must scratch and scrape her way to survive amongst the turmoil of the egregious family of her husband (Paul Newman). The outstanding cast also includes Burl Ives, Jack Carson, and Judith Anderson. Legendary poster artist Reynold Brown is well known for his poster illustrations, he captures the fierce Maggie, seemingly innocent in white. An excellent first-time offer from Heritage, this professionally restored poster has an overall nice appearance. Though backed on linen, small chips and tears, creases, and some fold wear are still visible. Before restoration there was also tape stain bleedthrough and some crossfold separation. There is a faint Dutch censorship stamp in the top right corner as well as the bottom left.
