Description

The Graduate (United Artists, 1968). Folded, Very Fine-. One Sheet (27" X 41").
In The Graduate, Dustin Hoffman delivers a career-defining performance as Benjamin Braddock, a disillusioned recent college graduate struggling to find direction in his life. His aimless summer takes an unexpected turn when he becomes entangled in a clandestine affair with the sophisticated yet deeply unhappy Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), the wife of his father's business partner. However, complications arise when Benjamin finds himself falling for her daughter, Elaine (Katharine Ross), leading to a poignant and often darkly comedic exploration of love, rebellion, and societal expectations. Hoffman's breakout role resonated with a generation, capturing the anxieties of youthful uncertainty and disillusionment. One of the most popular and influential films of the late 1960s, The Graduate became a cultural touchstone, praised for its sharp script, evocative cinematography, and Simon & Garfunkel's iconic soundtrack. Director Mike Nichols masterfully blended satire and drama, earning him the Academy Award for Best Director and cementing the film's place as a landmark in American cinema. The classic one sheet offered here shows pinholes in the corners, fold wear, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
