The Heart Specialist (Paramount, Famous Players-Lasky, 1922). Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Too bad the film is "lost" as the poster sports an incredible art deco image of a twenty-year-old Mary Miles Minter, leaving us to wonder how she handled the romance in a Turkish harem. Minter's star was on the rise in Hollywood, and this film was released just after she was caught in one of Hollywood's major scandals. Minter was involved romantically with the director William Desmond Taylor, shot and murdered in a Hollywood bungalow. Although Minter was not a suspect, the public wasn't so sure, and the scandal effectively killed her career. Posters from her short-lived career in films are exceedingly rare, and this is a first-time offer from Heritage. The interior of this poster is fantastic, with bright colors and only very minor color touch to the fold lines. The right .75 inches of the border have been replaced, as has the lower left corner. Other than this, the poster is in fantastic condition.
