The Mummy's Hand (Universal, 1940). Rolled, Fine+. Insert (14" X 36").
Archaeologist Steve Banning (Dick Foran) teams up with his sidekick Babe Jenson (Wally Ford) on a quest to find the lost tomb of Princess Ananka, hoping to make a big discovery. With funding from a traveling magician and his daughter (Peggy Moran, daughter of pin-up artist Earl Moran), they head into the Egyptian desert looking for the tomb of Kharis (played by screen cowboy Tom Tyler). However, their digging disturbs the living mummy, bound by an ancient curse and controlled by the evil High Priest Andoheb (George Zucco). Kharis relentlessly hunts those who threaten the tomb, leading to deadly consequences. There is a 1.5-inch split in the lower left that is braced with a strip of clear tape on the verso, a 2-inch split to the right with a minute paper lift that is braced with a strip of paper tape on the verso, as well as a few small splits to the lower border. There is edge wear, small corner bumping, some stains along the bottom edge, a few scuffs and some unobtrusive smudges.
