The Bride of Frankenstein, directed by James Whale, is a cinematic masterpiece that significantly influenced the progression of the horror genre. As a sequel to 1931's Frankenstein, also directed by Whale, this film not only expanded on the themes and characters of its predecessor but also introduced an unprecedented blend of horror and emotional depth, presenting a complex vision of Mary Shelley's creation, at times monstrous and other times pitiful. Quite rare, this scene card, sold only twice before by Heritage, features a great close-up of Boris Karloff as The Monster and Valerie Hobson as Elizabeth. Backed on paper, restoration has addressed edge and corner wear, pinholes, creases, scuffs, surface indentations, chips, and tears. Additionally, replacement corrected missing upper corners.
