Capitalizing on the popularity of the Universal horror film, Grosset & Dunlap released this hardcover photoplay edition of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's gothic horror masterpiece. The book is illustrated with scenes from the film and retains the original dust jacket featuring artwork reminiscent of the window card poster by Nathan Machtey. The book exhibits some sunning to the covers, light edge wear, and a gift inscription on the front free endpaper. The dust jacket has edge wear with surface loss, minor chipping at the folds, and creasing and red dye transference from the book on the verso.
