This original script for It Came From Outer Space has been signed by the film's producer William Alland. The script also features the film's working title, The Strangers From Outer Space. One of the very best of the 50's sci-fi offerings with a great cast, above average plot and story (by Ray Bradbury), it had many other film firsts. Thanks to Mr. Bradbury, it portrayed aliens as anything but psychopathic killers and was Universal's first 3-D film. It was the first of the "desert" sci-fi's and it was certainly one of the first to use the theremin for the sci-fi electronic sound we all know and associate with the 50's genre. It was the first time the monster's perspective was used, letting us view through the cyclops eye. Starring Richard Carlson and Barbara Rush as the scientists who must stop the alien invasion, it was directed by Jack Arnold. The script shows minor handling including minor wear to the covers and a few check mark and pen lines within the pages of the script.
