The Rounders by Roger Soubie (MGM, 1965). Rolled, Fine/Very Fine. Signed Original Gouache Artwork on Paper (47" X 63") used for the French Grande.
French poster artist Roger Soubie focused on the more dramatic aspects of Burt Kennedy's Western comedy for this incredible painting. Skillful portraits of stars Glenn Ford and Henry Fonda dominate the image, rendered in bright strokes of gouache paint. Created to the same scale of the film's French grande and signed by the artist, this gorgeous Heritage first shows some signs of use, like slight edge wear, light creasing, small tears, and pinholes. There are unobtrusive stains and some smudges, as well as some faint staining at the bottom credits. The piece also shows a tape stain at the lower edge and a few light dust shadows in the borders. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
