Psycho (Paramount, 1960). Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Featuring one of the most recognizable murder sequences in horror cinema and adapted from Robert Bloch's novel of the same name, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho has gripped legions of theatergoers, filmmakers, and collectors. The poster offered here is dominated by the film's biggest star, Janet Leigh, while Anthony Perkins' smaller red image hovers to her left. The onscreen dynamic between the two actors served the film well, cementing its legendary status in film history. The poster has benefited from corrections to minimal stains within the borders, paper lifting in the bottom border, and a minor tear in the left border near the image of Perkins. The folds, borders, and parts of the image have been airbrushed, and touchup has been applied to the "I" in Hitchcock.
