Captain America (Republic, 1944). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27.25" X 40.75") Chapter 10 -- "The Avenging Corpse."
This one sheet promotes Chapter 10, The Avenging Corpse, of Republic's 1944 Captain America serial, a fantastic cinematic outing for a beloved hero during the Golden Age of comics. Featuring Dick Purcell in the title role, the serial delivered 15 cliffhanging chapters of pulp thrills, reimagining the patriotic icon as a district attorney-turned-vigilante battling the sinister Scarab in a whirlwind of action and intrigue. Somewhat heavy restoration to the borders and carefully applied touchup to the interior has addressed edge and fold wear, creases, tears, small chips with replacement, and some stains/staining. Additionally, airbrushing to the upper right yellow background has corrected further staining.
