Description
Anybody's Woman (Paramount, 1930). Folded, Fine+. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A. From the Mike Kaplan Collection.Presented for the first time at Heritage, this is the only known style A one sheet. Dorothy Arzner directed this romantic comedy. She was one of Hollywood's earliest and fewest female directors. A heartbroken lawyer, played by Clive Brook, meets a chorus girl (Ruth Chatterton) while on a bender and wakes up the next day married to her. Against every one in his family's wishes, he tries to make the marriage work. This stone litho one sheet displays such indications of use as some fold wear and separation, pinholes, minor tears, and slight creases. Also apparent are small stains and smudges, thin dust shadows, a couple of graphite marks, as well as faint image ghosting. There are two small pieces of cellophane tape in the upper border that wrap around to the verso and there are several strips of cellophane tape on the verso bracing the folds.
