Beau Geste, directed by William A. Wellman and based on P.C. Wren's novel, is a timeless adventure classic. The film stars Gary Cooper as Michael "Beau" Geste, a noble-hearted man who falsely confesses to a crime to protect his beloved aunt, only to flee in disgrace by joining the French Foreign Legion. Reunited with his brothers, John (Ray Milland) and Digby (Robert Preston), he embarks on a harrowing journey of loyalty, sacrifice, and redemption. Set against the sweeping expanse of the Sahara Desert, the brothers face relentless hardships, the ruthless command of a sadistic sergeant (Brian Donlevy in a standout and Oscar-nominated performance), and an impending attack from desert tribes.
