Returning after a nearly ten-year absence, Heritage is proud to once again offer this glorious French grande for Storm Over Mont Blanc. Leni Riefenstahl, infamous for her direction of the propaganda films Triumph of the Will and Olympia, nonetheless cultivated a multifaceted career as an actress, photographer, and artist that spanned eight decades. In this film, she plays the daughter of an astronomer at the Chamonix observatory who helps rescue a meteorologist trapped by a storm near Mont Blanc's summit, with Roger Soubie's striking French grande poster evoking the drama through a breathtaking aerial view of the peak. Backed to linen but otherwise unrestored, imperfections include edge and fold wear, creases and handling wear, smudges and scuffs, some tears, image ghosting, staining, and toning.
