The Harder They Fall (Columbia, 1956). French Grande (45" X 60").
The seamy side of the boxing world is exposed by none other than pen-wielding press agent Humphrey Bogart, in this sports-crime drama. For the sake of authenticity, Jersey Joe Walcott and Max Baer make cameo appearances. Artist Jean Mascii (also known for the French posters from Planet of the Apes, East of Eden, and Cool Hand Luke) creates one of the best images of Bogart on any poster. The piece displays nicely after restoration to address chips and tears in Bogart's shirt, ear, hat, in the top right, and in the "C" of the title. Fine+ on Linen.
