King Kong (RKO, R-1950s). French North African One Sheet (27.5" X 40").
As one of the greatest monster movies ever made, King Kong enjoys a unique position in poster collecting, as demand for any paper on this title is fairly constant, and with never enough to meet demand. A rare find, this 1950s reissue was used in the French occupied regions of North Africa, and features portraits of the stars and the rampaging beast. Mounted on linen that has been trimmed to the edges of the poster, the piece has been restored to address tears in the borders, fold wear, small paper loss at the cross folds, a torn top right corner, and a chip in the bottom border. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
