Tonight and Every Night (Columbia, 1946). Italian 4 - Foglio (55.5" X 78").
Set in World War II England, this musical was one of many that the studios created to entertain the troops abroad and the families on the homefront. With Rita Hayworth singing and dancing, it was sure to boost the GI's morale. Hayworth became one of the most celebrated pinup girls of the 1940s and this poster clearly shows why. By 1946, when this picture was released in Italy, the studio assigned Anselmo Ballester to deliver a poster that would capture Hayworth's beauty for the ages. To this day, his works that feature Hayworth are considered some of the best of the Italian posters. This is the first time Heritage has presented the 4-foglio, which has been restored to address chips in the corners and along the folds and scattered pinholes. The colors are slightly faded, but the poster is still a head-turning treasure! Fine+ on Linen.
