The Lost Weekend (Paramount, 1945). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
Earning the Oscar for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay for Billy Wilder, this is one of the earliest films to poignantly portray the ravages of alcoholism. Ray Milland also won Best Actor for his nuanced and gripping performance as writer Don Birnam on a devastating weekend bender. Jane Wyman co-stars as Birnam's long suffering girlfriend, Helen. With key scenes from the film and a portrait of the tormented Milland, this three sheet is a great find. Signs of handling are minimal and include: a tear in the bottom right from the horizontal fold, fold separation, small cross fold paper loss, creasing in "The" and a misfold on the right side. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
