Description

Shall We Dance (RKO, 1937). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are magnificent in this, their seventh RKO musical collaboration. Astaire is a world-renowned ballet dancer, and Rogers is a musical comedy headliner. When her manager (Jerome Cowan) creates a phoney romance between the two for publicity, complications and misunderstandings arise that eventually lead to the twosome falling in love for real. Included are unforgettable songs written by George and Ira Gershwin, such as "Slap That Bass," "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off," "They Can't Take That Away From Me," "Shall We Dance," and "They All Laughed." Directed by Mark Sandrich, the film features the famed dance routine on roller skates, portrayed on this gorgeous one sheet. The poster shows touchup to the folds, airbrushed borders, and a scratch in the upper right corner. Very Fine- on Linen.
