This Gun for Hire (Paramount, 1942). Window Card (14" X 22").
Marvelous images of Veronica Lake and Alan Ladd grace this sought after window card from the fantastic film noir. Though he was the fourth billed, Paramount recognized Ladd as their up and coming star, and wisely featured him on the posters for the film. Sure enough, Ladd quickly rose to stardom thanks to his role of Raven, a double-crossed hired gun. This would make a terrific addition to any Ladd, Lake, and/or film noir collection. The window card had tears in the borders with one in the right that extended into the image, and a chip in the right border that went slightly into the background. Touchup work has been done to the white borders and background. Professional restoration has left the window card looking fantastic. Fine+.
