King Kong (RKO, 1933). Pre-War Belgian (24" X 33").
Heritage is proud to offer for only the second time this very rare, pre-WWII Belgian poster, depicting King Kong holding the lovely Fay Wray. "How would you like to star opposite the tallest, darkest leading man in Hollywood?" These are the words that enticed Wray to dye her hair blonde and accept the role of Ann Darrow. After the fact, she learned her leading man was a 50 foot ape! For years, King Kong has been at the pinnacle of the poster hobby and paper from pre-war Europe has always been elusive. Even more, Belgian posters printed in the larger 24" X 33" size are very uncommon. There are tax stamps in the imprint area, and touchup has been applied to a tear and small hole in the right border, a small hole in the imprint area, and tiny chips and tears in the chest and title. A unique find for one lucky collector! Fine on Linen.
