The Hunchback of Notre Dame (RKO, 1939). Insert (14" X 36").
Bathed in unsettling vermilion lighting, the silhouette of Charles Laughton as the misunderstood bell-ringer is a marvelous touch for the rare insert format offered here. Laughton plays Quasimodo, who loves his gypsy friend Esmeralda (Maureen O'Hara in one of her earliest performances), in this superb adaptation of Victor Hugo's classic novel. This haunting insert has a dust shadow in the borders, small tears in the bottom borders, bottom right corner bend, small surface paper loss in the top border, fold wear, and slight fold separations. The image area is unaffected, making the poster an impressive addition to any collection. Folded, Fine+.
