Black Friday (Universal, 1940). Silk Screen Poster (40" X 60").
Boris Karloff is a slightly demented doctor who attempts to save the life of a dying friend (Stanley Ridges) by transplanting into him the brain of a gangster. Slowly, the criminal brain begins to take Ridges over, committing several murders. Bela Lugosi also stars in this moody thriller as a rival gangster. Restoration has addressed a tear in the upper border, a tear in the lower border extending into the title, surface loss in the hand and shoulder of the lower image of Karloff, and some creasing. There is some cracking in the upper right border slightly into the background, as paints used for the silk-screen process are a bit more fragile than standard inks. Karloff collectors will not want to miss the opportunity to add this hard to find poster to their collection. Fine+ on Paper.
