While Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolf Man were based on literature or legend, Universal's Creature from the Black Lagoon was a wholly original creation, and the last "classic" monster to be considered part of the pantheon. The monster suit was certainly one of the best ever created for film -- largely the work of Universal staffer Millicent Patrick -- and still holds up over fifty years after its original release. Offered here is a rare complete lobby card set featuring great images of the Gillman on multiple cards. The cards have been cleaned and pressed. Four of the scene cards (#2,3,6, & 8) had a Canadian censor stamp which has been carefully minimized. The title card had a small chip in the top left and bottom left corner as well as one pinhole in the top right corner; six cards had pinholes in the borders. This magnificent set still boasts awesome color and clarity, so head back to the Black Lagoon with this stellar lobby set. Fine/Very Fine.
