Description
The Haunted House (First National, 1928). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").Borrowing heavily from Paul Leni's The Cat and the Canary, this First National early talkie stars former "Keystone Cop" Chester Conklin and a young Thelma Todd, putting a more comedic spin on the tale of heirs to a will locked in a house at night. Finding any paper on this title is rare and a complete lobby card set is almost unheard of, so don't let this opportunity get spirited away. There is a water stain in the top right corner that affects the entire set (though progressively less severe towards the latter cards), and there is an ink smudge on the portrait card. Otherwise, some creasing in the bottom border of the title card, and corner creases on a few other cards are the only signs of handling of note. Fine+.
