King Kong (RKO, R-1956). Half Sheet (22" X 28").
As the greatest monster movie ever made, King Kong enjoys a unique position in poster collecting, since demand for any paper on this title is fairly constant, and never enough to meet demand. Offered here is the terrific half sheet from the 1956 re-issue, with bold artwork showcasing both the stars and the big gorilla on rampage. The poster had pinholes in the borders and a few in the artwork, a tear at the right side going into the art, light fold wear, minor chips at the corners, and a tiny chip at the left horizontal fold, all of which has been smoothed over with outstanding professional restoration. Very Fine- on Paper.
