The Orient is Hong Kong (Hong Kong Tourist Association, 1962). Rolled, Very Fine. Stock Travel Poster (24.5" X 34.75"). Miscellaneous.
Throughout the 1960s, the Hong Kong Tourist Association made stock posters like the one offered in this lot available to airlines in order to advertise their airline travels. This poster shows a scene of two young children in front of a Gwun Yam (the Goddess of Mercy) statue, and this specific poster was used for THAI International Airways. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, small tears, faint creases, and/or minor stains and smudges. The imprint area has an ink stamp advertising THAI International Airways. There is a small piece of masking tape on the verso.
