Star! (20th Century Fox, 1968). Deluxe Lobby Card Set of 12 (11" X 14") Roadshow. After the resounding success of "The Sound of Music," Fox executives wanted to recreate that magic with their star Julie Andrews, so they reteamed her with her "Music" director, Robert Wise, for this musical based on the life of Broadway star Gertrude Lawrence. Unfortunately, the publicity leading up to the release of "Star!" seemed to promise another Sister Maria...and Lawrence was anything but that! This deluxe lobby set was printed in Italy for the American Roadshow release of the film. There are light scuffs on all the cards, and a corner ding on one of them. A very nice set from this musical. Near Mint.
