The sequel to The Quatermass Xperiment, Quatermass II (released as Enemy from Space in the United States) is an adaptation of Nigel Kneale's BBC television serial of the same name. Brian Donlevy reprises his role as Professor Quatermass, who faces a new threat when a supposed "meteor shower" reveals itself to be a covert alien invasion. These extraterrestrial beings arrive on Earth via meteorite-like vessels and proceed to take control of human minds and nervous systems to carry out their plans undetected. The supporting cast delivers strong performances, including notable British actors Sidney James, best known for the Carry On series, John Longden, and Bryan Forbes, adding depth to this suspenseful sci-fi thriller.
