Directed by Charles Lamont, Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy is the final entry in the comedy duo's long-running series of monster mashups. The film follows Bud Abbott and Lou Costello as bumbling American adventurers who stumble upon an ancient tomb in Egypt and get entangled with a resurrected mummy and scheming treasure hunters. Mixing slapstick humor with classic Universal horror imagery, it plays as both parody and homage to the studio's earlier monster films. Though lighter and less ambitious than their earlier horror comedies, it remains a charming farewell to Abbott and Costello's partnership with Universal and to the golden age of studio monster comedies. Folded as distributed, the poster exhibits pinhole clusters, edge tears, a small edge chip, fold end splits, light scuffs, and general handling. It remains quite presentable.
