Often described as a space opera, Star Wars was taken quite literally in this striking Soviet-era "Space Cowboy" poster by Russian artist Aleksandr Kulov. Created for the film's 1990 wide release in the Soviet Union, one of the first major Western premieres after the Cold War, the avant-garde design reimagines the saga through a distinctly Eastern European lens. Depicting a horseback-riding, gun-toting figure built from mechanical components, the composition reflects the film's translated title, Star Wars: A Galactic Western. Regarded by collectors as one of the "holy grails" of Star Wars posters, this rare three-panel design brilliantly blends science fiction and socialist modernism. This particular example is in beautiful condition, showing only light edge wear, minor creasing, gentle corner bends, and faint handling wear typical for its size and age.
