Created by celebrated artist Tibor Helényi, this highly sought-after design reimagines George Lucas's 1977 space epic through a surreal, expressionistic lens. Known for crafting posters for each film in the trilogy, often working from memory, Helényi employed bold color, abstract composition, and inventive detail, such as R2-D2's dome doubling as Darth Vader's pauldron, to evoke the saga's mythic grandeur.
