"This wonderful book is a tribute to Hollywood's Golden Age and to the fans who have preserved its images for us all to enjoy and savor."
daughter of screen legend Boris Karloff
"The book's title pretty much says it all, but the full-color images of each poster - accompanied by a detailed description of the subject and its rarity — make it fun."
—SACRAMENTO (Calif.) BEE
"This well-designed book includes a vivid full-page color photo of each poster, pairing that image with information about the film and the poster's sale. It's a layout that gives Collectible Movie Posters the look of a coffee-table book."
"From Disney films to the Universal horror classics, from Casablanca to Gilda, from The Adventures of Robin Hood to This Gun For Hire, from Mary Pickford to the Marx Brothers, this is not a mere resource. It is a treasure trove built at the intersection of art and cinema."
"We find this reference historical, interesting and full of useful information on a bygone era of some of the greatest films ever made. We recommend it to collectors, dealers, movie buffs or if you just want to place it on a coffee table."

Collectible Movie Posters, edited by Jim Halperin and Hector Cantu, is a tribute to 100 top rarities of the silent era and the Golden Age of Hollywood.
Since the 1990s, rare movie posters have skyrocketed in value, with strong demand and low supply creating one of today's most active collectibles markets. "Hollywood celebrities buy up these classic pieces of movie memorabilia," says coeditor Jim Halperin, who is cochairman of Heritage Auctions in Dallas, which handles 70 percent of the world's movie poster auction sales. "But so do everyday collectors: people who love the color, history, drama, and beauty of American film posters."
He cites as an example a woman who, in 1978, bought her husband a gift: a horror-movie poster of the 1932 Tod Browning classic Freaks. "She paid $10 for it," says Halperin, "but she knew it was something special. It hung on their wall for 30 years." In 2009, the couple sold their poster for $107,550.
In Collectible Movie Posters, Halperin and Cantu explore the wonderful world of the rarest, the most valuable, and the most exciting movie posters known to exist. The book is fully illustrated in color, with auction prices. The featured posters date from 1915 (Charlie Chaplin's The Champion) to 1958 (Attack of the 50 Foot Woman).

The way you grouped lots, photographed, and presented the material was too notch. I was impressed that you took the time to attribute coins to the Krause reference as their "plate coin" and that many of your descriptions included pertinent facts and inforView More Testimonials
