Behind That Curtain (Fox, 1929). One Sheet (27" X 41").
A Heritage first, this one sheet was done for the first Charlie Chan film made at Fox Studios. Starring Warner Baxter and featuring Boris Karloff, this pre-Code mystery was based on the novel of the same name by author Earl Derr Biggers. It was the third in the series of the Charlie Chan books. The first Chan film in sound, it featured Korean actor E.L. Park as Charlie Chan. The famed detective was only featured in several scenes as most of the film concentrated on an international hunt for a murderer from England to Persia to India and finally ends up in San Francisco, where Chan prevents a murder in his few brief scenes. This fabulous and only known stone litho poster, with its incredible graphics, shows stains and foxing in the borders, with some in the image and credit area, and edge wear and crossfold and fold separations.
