King Kong (RKO, 1933). Swedish Oversized (25" X 47").
This Swedish beauty features "The Eighth Wonder of the World" raging through New York, swatting down planes and clutching the delicate Fay Wray. Considered by most as one of the greatest horror/fantasy films ever made, King Kong was certainly one of the most innovative. The stop motion animation created by Willis O'Brien set the standard for decades to follow. Starring Wray as Ann Darrow, Robert Armstrong as Carl Denham, and Bruce Cabot as Jack Driscoll, the non-stop action thrilled audiences upon its initial release in 1933, and still continues to entertain today. This rare oversized, stone litho Swedish poster, reminiscent of the U.S. three sheet with its striking image of Kong atop the Empire State Building, displays brilliant color. Signs of light handling include pinholes in the corners and a few in the background, a tear in the bottom left corner, a top left corner bend, extra vertical creasing, crossfold separation and fold wear with small tears. An amazing opportunity for poster collectors! Fine/Very Fine.
