Description

Dracula (Universal, 1931). Pressbook (13.5" X 19.5") (8 Pages). Directed by Tod Browning, Bela Lugosi's version of the Bram Stoker novel is considered to be the definitive film adaptation. Offered in this lot is the rarely seen, complete pressbook for this classic Universal Horror film. The cover itself is a small version of the one sheet and it states just that on the lower right of the cover! Inside are pages full of the ballyhoo suggested for the promotion of this groundbreaking film. Everything from book marks, slides, tie-up stills, the set of lobby cards, both window cards, and all of the fabulous posters produced for the film, they are all here. Seen are the amazing four styles of one sheets, and finally, the gorgeous 24 sheet. Don't miss this chance to own what has to be one of the rarest and cleanest examples of this fabulous pressbook. The book was folded in half at one time and has been very carefully pressed and minimally restored with tremendous TLC to make for a very handsome and displayable copy. There was repair done around the three staple entry points on the pages. The middle staple has been removed and the pages repaired. There were no cuts or major blemishes to this copy, so bid with confidence. Very Fine.
