Description

The Outlaw (United Artists, 1946). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). After waiting four years, audiences were finally able to see the sensational Western that made Jane Russell famous. Howard Hughes' story of Billy the Kid was kept out of distribution due to the outrage of censors and moral groups over Russell's partially exposed cleavage. Six of the cards are in Very Fine+ condition or better. The other two cards, (the title card and scene of Jane holding a knife) have several pinholes in the borders, small tears, smudges and corner creases. The title card shows signs of pencil on Russell's breasts. Overall, this fun set is quite presentable. Fine/Very Fine.
