Forbidden Planet (Loews - MGM, 1956). Color Still Set (12) (8" X 10"). Now these are scarce! Posters for one of the most important and popular science fiction films of the 1950s, "Forbidden Planet," are some of the most sought after within the hobby. Color stills are seldom seen and when they are, they are usually found individually, not in their entire set of 12. We got close with this consignment. This "set" of 12 consists of stills #1 through 11, with a duplicate of still #6. One of the most impressive aspects of this set is that none of the stills repeat scenes from the lobby card set. Several of the stills show one pinhole per corner, minor crimping, a few have some small corner creases - yet all of these flaws hardly detract from the overall impact and beauty of these rarities. Get 'em while you can. These may not come around again for many years. Fine+.
