Our Auction Results Archives now allow our members to make anonymous offers on items that may not be auctioned again for some time.
Please note that the winner of this Heritage auction lot may or may not still own this item and may or may not be willing to sell.
This Make Offer to Owner (MOTO) program is still in the Beta Test phase,
and we would appreciate any suggestions to help us improve our system.
Please email your suggestions to Webmaster@HA.com.
Heritage retains 10% of the total price as its commission
(compared with a 12%-25% Buyer's Premium charged on auction transactions), from which Heritage absorbs all
credit card/PayPal costs. This service is free to the buyer (no Buyer's Premium),
includes a 7 day return policy, and protects the
identity of both parties. Because no Buyer's Premium is charged on Make Offer to Owner transactions,
auction consignment discount coupons are invalid.
Our software allows offers and counter-offers, but we suggest making your best offer the first time as most owners
will not respond to low offers at all. You will receive a response or no-response email from Heritage within 72 hours.

BP - Buyer's Premium
A "Buyer's Premium" is charged in addition to the successful bid according to the rate defined in our terms and conditions.
Batch Bidding
Batch Bidding is offered to allow you to place multiple bids at one time. The programming is such that it will
not compare or show you if you have been outbid for each lot but will after your bids are entered, show as
Red the lots that are still not winning.
WARNING: Depending on the number of bids you submit at any one time it may take awhile to transfer those bids
into our system so you should not count on being able to snipe bids at the last minute. We make NO GUARANTEE
that your bids will be executed on time. Other bids may be coming in during the time that your "Batch Bids" are
being processed causing you to lose a tie bid entered before yours. We recommend that you not use batch bidding
within one hour of the close of the auction.
How to Use Batch Bidding
For each lot you wish to bid on, place your bid in the box in the BATCH BIDS column.
Review your bids carefully to ensure accuracy with your intent and to make sure that each bid is greater than or equal to the corresponding
"Next Bid" for that item.
Click SUBMIT at the bottom of the BATCH BIDS column. Be sure to click the submit button corresponding to the right auction. Multiple auction
venues are possible on one page.
CAREFULLY REVIEW the pop-up window that explains which of your bids will be submitted and which, if any, will not. If you do not wish to place
these bids based on your review, click the CANCEL button. Otherwise, click OK to submit your bids.
CAREFULLY REVIEW "My Bids" to determine which of your bids succeeded as the high bid and which did not. If you wish to place more bids,
return to step 1 and repeat.
Batch Bidding
Enter bids on multiple lots, and submit them at the bottom of the page.
Item Tracking
Click on the "Track this item" link to track this lot. To view the items you are tracking (and batch bid on them), visit MyTrackedLots.
Guided Navigation
What is Guided Navigation?
Guided navigation is the ability to add and remove keywords and categorizations of items to filter your results. As you add these filters, they appear in the breadcrumb trail above the search results. You can remove any filter from the breadcrumb trail at any time.
How do I start my search?
Start your search as you've always done. From the home page, catalog home page, or search page, you can select a keyword and choose a coin type such as "Nickels" or "Barber Half Dollars", and then click "Search". Much of the time, this will be all you need!
How do I narrow my search?
The real power of Guided Navigation is the ability to narrow your search results. The left column allows you to add filters, such as "Coin Category", "Current Bid Range", "Reserve Status", "Coin Grade", "Mintmark", and so on. Each time you make such a selection, the listing of results will become smaller, showing only those items that meet all the criteria you have selected. You can also add or change a keyword, such as "1909-S", at any time, if that will help your search. Sometimes a new selection will open up new sub-selection possibilities; for instance, if you start your search by looking at all Silver and Related Dollars, you can then narrow your search to just Morgan Dollars, Early Dollars, Peace Dollars, or whichever suits your collecting interests best.
How do I expand my search?
You can add or drop fields or keywords from your results at any time. Above the listing of results is a complete list of the filters you have selected. Click on the remove link next to any filter to remove it, and the page will refresh to show all items matching the new broader specifications.
I don't see the category (filter) I am looking for in the Guided Navigation?
The guided navigation section only lists things that contain results. To expand your list of categories, remove one or more criteria from your breadcrumb trail at the top of the results by clicking on it.
