Description:
The Ghost of Frankenstein (Universal, 1942). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14
The fourth film in Universal's Frankenstein series, and the first one not to star Karloff as the monster (Lon Chaney Jr. donned the makeup this time around), the real star here is Bela Lugosi as Ygor, the hunchback, who managed to survive being killed at the end of Son of Frankenstein. This is a wonderful title card from this classic horror film and displays vibrant and beautiful colors. It has pinholes in the borders and within the image. There is a one inch tear and crease in the upper right border that extends into the image. There is a smaller tear and crease in the middle right border. There are three tiny tears in the lower border all of which have been repaired in the verso with older cellophane tape. The corners are rounded and a number 6 is written in the upper left corner. All in all, even with the unobtrusive condition issues, the card displays very well and would make a wonderful addition to a fine horror lobby collection. From the Collection of Ron Moore. Fine.
