Description:
Dumbo (RKO, 1941). Three Sheet (41" X 79") Style B. From the Leonard and Alice Maltin Collection.
High spirited and cheerful, this magnificent three sheet embodies the spirit of Walt Disney's charming tale of the world's most lovable elephant. When the other circus animals make fun of Dumbo due to his oversized ears, Timothy Q. Mouse steps up and teaches the plaintive pachyderm to achieve his full potential. After the disappointing box office performance of Pinocchio (1940) and Fantasia (1940), Walt Disney desperately needed a hit. He got one with this outstanding film, which brought in better than $2.5 million in its initial release, more than the budgets of his previous two films combined. The large format poster offered here is quite rare, and has had minimal touch-up to pinholes, edge wear, and chips and tears in the borders and image area. Great for a child's room or for adults that are still young in spirit, this piece will warm the heart of its proud owner! From the Leonard and Alice Maltin Collection. Very Good+ on Linen.
