Description

The Petty Girl (Columbia, 1950). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
George Petty was one of the most well known pin-up artists, especially remembered for the "Petty Girl" series he created for Esquire magazine for over 20 years, until 1956. This movie has Robert Cummings portraying the artist, who falls for the prim Joan Caulfield, whom he convinces to loosen up and pose for his paintings. Elsa Lanchester has a wonderful role as Caulfield's friend and chaperone, and a young Tippi Hedren makes a brief appearance in her screen debut. This sensational three sheet features iconic artwork by Petty. It is in remarkably nice condition, and had professional restoration to address the minor issue of light fold wear. Very Fine+ on Linen.
